The 92 Street Y is a wonderful institution. I taught a "Jazz Finders" class there between 1981-1984. I hosted in class record listening sessions as well as trips to downtown jazz venues. The "Y" was doing jazz concerts in those days. I am glad to see the tradition continues.

This is Bill Charlap’s seventh time putting together the six-night slate of performances that make up Jazz in July, which begins July 20th and runs through July 29th.

Through the coming three weeks we’ll be following the festival with interviews with performers and ideas for summer evening itineraries centered on the performances."
