The Weekly Online!Help-A-Jazz Musician Campaign
ATLANTA (Sep. 1) - The Southeastern Organization for Jazz Arts (SOJA), The Atlantajazz group, the WRFG 89.3 FM Jazz Music Department & WBCX 89.1 FM seeks to provide aide to displaced Jazz musicians from New Orleans.
This is not a fund raiser nor are we collecting money!
As a result of the tragedy in New Orleans, we are seeking concerned people in Atlanta and the surrounding areas who are willing to open their hearts and home to take in a Jazz musician (and, in some cases, their families) providing them with beds, baths, and meals.
These unfortunate victims of Hurricane Katrina have no where to go and no where to work during this disastrous time. We are also seeking to find employment for these musicians during their time in the Atlanta area so that they will be able to support themselves and their families.
